Adult and Pediatric Eyecare provides the highest quality, compassionate optometry to ensure you and your family are healthy and happy. Meet our caring and compassionate team committed to providing exceptional eye care for your family.
Dr. Gary J. Lake, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Gary J. Lake graduated with honors from Ithaca College and then the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He has been licensed to practice Optometry in NY since 1989.
Among other things, Dr. Lake specializes in Low Vision Care, contact lenses and treatment and management of ocular diseases, as well as co-management of LASIK and PRK surgeries.
Dr. Lake has a large family, including his wife and 5 boys. He stays busy volunteering his time to several local Orange County youth sports leagues and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Debbie Ocampo, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Debbie Ocampo graduated from Cornell University in 2014, then went on to complete her optometric education at MCPHS University in Worcester, MA in 2020.
She underwent residency training in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System and continues with the VA to provide eye care to our veterans.
Dr. Ocampo is a bilingual eye doctor, speaking both Spanish and English, and is passionate about the treatment and management of ocular disease. She performs comprehensive eye exams, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fittings, and more.
Dr. Zakary J. Lake, O.D
Optometrist
Dr. Zakary J. Lake locally attended Minisink Valley High School before earning a degree from Syracuse University in History and Secondary Education. After several years of coaching Division III College Football at Utica University and working as a Police Officer in Orange and Sullivan counties, he continued his education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University.
Dr. Zak was awarded with the prestigious 2023/2024 VSP AAOF Practice Excellence Award for excellence in clinical patient care, academic performance, and a commitment to independent practice; as well as completing clinical rotations at West Point Military Academy and The William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center, earning his Doctorate of Optometry in 2025.
Dr. Zak practices full-scope primary care optometry, offering comprehensive eye care services with a commitment to patient comfort and personalized care!
Dr. Trevor J. Gotthardt, O.D
Optometrist
Dr. Trevor J. Gotthardt attended Pine Bush High School before graduating with honors from the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a degree in Biomedical Science. He then started working as ophthalmic technician for Dr. Lake. Later, he went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2025. During his graduate training,
Dr. Gotthardt completed a diverse range of clinical externships, including Lynn Community Health Center, Lahey Medical Center, the Hudson Valley VA, and EyeCare Associates of Connecticut. These experiences provided him with extensive training in ocular disease management and binocular vision disorders. Dr. Gotthardt practices full-scope primary care optometry. He offers comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, diabetic eye evaluations, and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of refractive and medical care.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Gotthardt enjoys spending his free time outdoors. He is an avid hiker, piano player, and vintage motorcycle enthusiast.
Our Staff
Sandy
Sandy has been our Office Manager for over forty-four years. She knows everything there is to know about this office, and our doctors and keeps us up to date with all the newest things available in the optical field.
Rosie
Rosie has been with our practice for over thirty-three years. She will be one of the first friendly and understanding staff members you meet at our front desk. She is our dry eye expert, personally test-driving every product we offer, to make sure we give quality recommendations.
Christina
Christina began at Adult and Pediatric Eyecare as an ophthalmic technician with 14+ years of experience in the eyecare field. She now takes that experience and applies it in our optical, helping patients choose lenses and frames customized to their unique eyes. While her husband and daughter keep her busy, she dedicates her spare time to local organizations in Sullivan County.
Jessica
Jessica has worked in the eye field for almost 5 years in both the fast-paced corporate setting and in full-scope optometric offices such as ours. She performs testing for each of our patient's individual needs as they come to our office. She is a talented scribe who assists Dr. Lake in providing efficient exams.
